Williamsburg Denim Company (by Maurice Malone)

Maurice Malone is a self-taught designer from Detroit, Michigan whose career extends back to 1984. With aspirations to be a special effects artist, his career plans changed after making himself a hat seen worn in the 80's music video “Just Got Lucky.” At age 19, he started his 1st company named “Hardwear by Maurice Malone” and began selling hats to local stores - the rest is history.

Maurice is known as one of the founding forces behind the birth of Hip-Hop and Urban Fashion. 1997 - His debut tailored men’s collection drew wide spread ovation, earning him a nomination for the Perry Ellis Award for New Menswear Designer of the Year. 2003-4 Maurice developed the best used process for making textured wrinkles and whiskers used by denim wash factories all over the world today. 2012 - Williamsburg Garment Company is changing the rules of launching a new Fashion Label. You can find his vision and styles at WealthyHo$tage.
